All information and referrals of suspected impairment received by the PHC are confidential, nonpublic and carefully maintained at all times. A concerned colleague, professional associate, family member, patient, employer or other individual who has first-hand information indicating impairment may report referrals of suspected impairment. Also, a physician may personally seek assistance through self-referral. The Arkansas Medical Society, local credential committees and legal authorities may also forward information.
